Avner Aliphas, M.D., M.S.

Dr. Aliphas graduated from The John Hopkins University with an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. He then completed a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. He started his medical training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his internship in General Surgery, residency and chief administrative resident year in Otolaryngology at the Boston Medical Center before joining the staff at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Dr. Aliphas continues his affiliation with Boston University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – teaching residents in didactics and various clinical settings. Dr. Aliphas is board certified in Otolaryngology including sinus/allergy and otologic disease.

Outside of the office, Dr. Aliphas enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys as well as playing ice hockey and swimming.

Jordan Glicksman, MD, MPH, FACS, FRCSC

Dr. Glicksman is a graduate of McGill University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology. He completed medical school and a residency in Otolaryngology—Head & Neck Surgery (Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery) at the University of Western Ontario in Canada. He holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Harvard University and completed sub-specialty fellowship training in Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Glicksman is a lecturer at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Glicksman strives to provide his patients excellent care that is tailored towards their specific needs. His expertise relates to diseases of the Ears, Nose and Throat, and sub-specialty care for diseases related to the nasal cavities and sinuses.

Outside of the office, Dr. Glicksman enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and participating in a variety of athletic endeavors.

Johanna Lam, FNP-BC

Johanna graduated from Georgetown University with an undergraduate degree in Spanish and Linguistics. She then completed her Masters in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Direct Entry Program at Simmons College in Boston. Prior to working at New England Ear Nose & Throat, Johanna worked in community health providing primary care services to a diverse population of patients. She is currently board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Outside of the office, Johanna enjoys doing yoga, getting outside and traveling. She lives in Sudbury with her husband, daughter and 2 dogs.

Ricole “Ricki” Haden, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Ricole “Ricki” Haden has been an audiologist for over 20 years and provides the latest in diagnostic audiology and vestibular evaluations in both pediatric and adult populations. Her undergraduate degree is from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa where she graduated with high honors. In addition to audiology, she is trained as a Speech-Language Pathologist and has a firm grasp of child development, language and auditory processing. Dr. Haden received her Masters of Science degree from the University of Arizona and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Dr. Haden is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. She is highly motivated and thoroughly enjoys her profession.

Outside of the office, Ricki enjoys spending time with her husband and five children (four human, 1 canine) and is an avid walker.

Margaret “Peg” Toro, Au.D., CCC-A

Dr. Toro joined the practice with 40+ years of experience as a clinical audiologist. She received her clinical doctoral degree in Audiology from Salus University and her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from SUNY Buffalo. After her training, she went on to work in a variety of medical settings in Boston including Mass Eye and Ear, Tufts Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language, Hearing Association and is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Over the years she has served in leadership positions in both state and national professional organizations and has enjoyed the opportunity to supervise and mentor Audiology externship students. She brings extensive experience in diagnostic audiological evaluation and counseling for both adults and children and thoroughly enjoys her work.

Outside of the office, Peg enjoys gardening, teaching adult education classes and cuddling NICU babies.
